The first residential community in Waraba, Lilywood Landings, has settled almost 50 blocks of land in December, capping off a milestone year for the fledgling city in Moreton Bay.
Since January, a total of 266 blocks were completed and handed over to their new owners, with the first residents moving into Queensland’s newest city in July and preparing for their first Christmas in the community.
As 2025 draws to a close, more than 75 homes have now been completed in Lilywood Landings, while Waraba’s first park has opened and work is underway on the city’s first convenience store and service station.
In other milestones, the first homes in Waraba’s only display village have opened their doors, and Lilywood Landings developer Lennium Group is gearing up for another land release in late February.
Lennium Development Manager Ian Worthington said he was thrilled with the progress achieved at Waraba in 2025.
“What’s especially exciting is how quickly Lilywood Landings has changed from a development site into a genuine community,” he said.
“With so many homes under construction, more streets taking shape and new families moving in, we’re seeing the vision come to life in a very real way.
“Buyer demand across multiple stages has reflected the confidence people have in Lilywood Landings and in the long-term growth of Waraba as a new city.”
In December, 48 buyers across Stages 5, 6 and 7 officially settled on their blocks, while work progressed on Stages 9 and 10, setting the scene for another highly productive year in 2026.
Beyond individual stages, significant infrastructure works have continued at pace. Contractors have been busy delivering major sewer infrastructure servicing the entire new suburb of Lilywood, alongside bulk earthworks across the balance of the project.
Adding to the momentum, early works have commenced on the 7-Eleven service station and Sparkletown car wash, both of which are on track to open around mid-2026, providing the first local services for residents.
Mr Worthington said there was a lot to look forward to as Lilywood Landings continued to evolve into one of the most significant new communities in the Moreton Bay region.
He said the pace of delivery was laying strong foundations not just for Lilywood Landings, but for Waraba’s emergence as a fully integrated new city.
“As more residents move in, local services open and community spaces come to life, Waraba is quickly becoming a place where people can genuinely put down roots.
“2026 will be about building on that momentum – welcoming more residents, delivering key infrastructure and continuing to shape a connected, liveable city for the long term.”
