There was a real buzz in the air at Lilywood Landings on Saturday, with around 600 people turning out to celebrate the official grand opening of the Display Village.
Merryvale Circuit came alive as visitors explored 31 beautifully finished homes from 18 of Queensland’s leading builders, all set against a relaxed, festival-style atmosphere.
From barista-made coffee and ice cream to giveaways, kids’ activities and street entertainment, there was something happening at every turn – and plenty of inspiration for those starting their homebuilding journey.
Each display home added its own flavour to the day, with builders going the extra mile to create a welcoming and memorable experience for visitors stepping through their doors.
Delivered in partnership with Master Builders Queensland, the Display Village is the first of its kind to open in Waraba and offers a diverse mix of home designs, layouts and finishes suited to modern Queensland living.
Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said the strong turnout reflected the growing momentum behind both Lilywood Landings and the new city of Waraba.
“It was fantastic to see so many people here enjoying the day and exploring the homes,” he said.
“You could really feel the excitement – not just about the Display Village, but about what’s coming next for this community.”
Positioned at the gateway to Waraba, Lilywood Landings has already seen strong demand, with the next land release planned for April as more buyers look to secure their place in the emerging city.
The Display Village features homes from Brighton Homes, Burbank, Dare Homes, Glenvill Homes, Integrale Homes, McLachlan Homes, Metricon, Neptune Homes, Orbit Homes, Roonsleigh Construction, Simonds Homes, Zoom Constructions, Arcadia Homes, Creation Homes, Hudson Homes, Kiba Built, NuTrend Homes and Ultra Living Homes.
Master Builders Queensland Manager, Display Villages, Greg Byrne, said the opening showcased the strength and diversity of the state’s building industry.
“The level of interest and the quality of homes on display made for a fantastic opening,” he said.
For those who missed the launch event, the good news is the Display Village is open Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 4pm* at 4 Merryvale Circuit, Lilywood.
