Highland Walloon’s first neighbourhood park is now officially open – even before tfirst residents have moved in.
Located at the heart of Highland Walloon’s central green spine, the new park has been thoughtfully designed with something for everyone, whether you’re entertaining energetic toddlers, shooting hoops with friends or simply looking for a shady spot to relax.
The park features adventure play equipment for older children, a dedicated toddler play area, swings, a trike track, half basketball court, picnic shelters and expansive open lawns, creating plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun.
More than 40 feature trees have already been planted throughout the park, complemented by open grassed areas and mature trees within the adjoining linear parkland that provide a beautiful natural backdrop.
Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said opening the park before the first residents moved in was an important milestone for the community.
“Moving into a brand new community is exciting, but it’s even better when the places that bring neighbours together are already there waiting for you,” Ian said.
“We wanted our first residents to arrive knowing they already had somewhere to meet friends, watch the kids play, enjoy a picnic or simply get outdoors.

The new park is already proving popular with families from the wider Walloon area, giving future Highland residents a glimpse of the vibrant community that’s beginning to take shape.
Its opening comes as construction activity continues to accelerate across Highland Walloon, with homes rising throughout the community ahead of the first residents moving into their new homes in the coming weeks.
