Construction of the new Coles supermarket at Lilywood Landings has reached a significant milestone, with the roof now complete and internal works well underway as the centre continues to take shape within the growing Waraba community.
The supermarket will anchor the new Lilywood Village shopping centre, which is expected to provide a mix of food, retail and everyday services for Lilywood Landings residents and the surrounding area.
Lennium Group Development Director Ian Worthington said progress on site was becoming increasingly visible.
“It’s exciting to see the Coles development reaching this stage because it represents a major step forward for the community,” he said.
Internal works are now underway inside the supermarket, including the installation of essential building services and internal partition walls.
Across the wider centre, structural steel installation for the specialty retail buildings is nearing completion, with roof installation now underway across the future tenancies.
Civil works are also continuing across the site, including upgrades to Caboolture River Road and Craig Road, along with the installation of stormwater infrastructure and works on the renewed electrical network and new street lighting.
Ian said the broader infrastructure works would help support the long-term growth of the area.
“As more people move into the area, convenient access to everyday shopping and services becomes increasingly important. This local centre has been designed to meet that need,” he said.
Leasing activity has also been strong, with a mix of national and local retailers committing to food, retail and service-based offerings across the centre.
Opportunities remain for additional businesses to join Lilywood Village, including a café, barber and beauty salon to further strengthen the centre’s everyday convenience.
Ian said the level of leasing interest reflected growing confidence in Waraba’s future.
“Seeing established national brands alongside local businesses committing to the centre is a strong sign of the momentum building across Lilywood Landings and the wider Waraba community,” he said.
