Lennium Group is proud to announce the opening of the first park in Waraba’s founding neighbourhood, Lilywood Landings.
Spanning more than three hectares, the park represents a major milestone in the creation of Queensland’s newest city. Designed to connect people with both nature and history, it will serve as a vibrant community hub for generations to come.
Developed in collaboration with AECOM, the park reflects the land’s past as a dairy farm, with rural-inspired structures, carefully placed fig trees, and landscaping that mirrors the curves of the nearby Caboolture River.
“Cementing the history of the site, which is undergoing such a significant change, is important. We wanted to build the story of a dairy farm into the park’s design, creating a meaningful connection to the land,”
– Jason Daley, Associate Director, AECOM.
The park offers spaces for all ages and interests, with a river-valley themed playground, half basketball court, open kick-and-throw areas, shaded seating, and quiet spots for relaxation. Inclusivity and connection have been central to the design, ensuring it is a place where residents can gather, play, and engage with their community.
Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said the opening marks a significant step forward in bringing Waraba to life.
“This park is more than just green space – it’s a place where families can come together, kids can play, and people can connect with their neighbours. With Lilywood Landings now home to its first residents, the park sets the tone for the vibrant community we are creating in Waraba.”
The delivery of Lilywood Landings’ first park follows more than six years of planning and underscores Lennium Group’s commitment to building communities that are sustainable, connected, and enriched by thoughtful design.
This is the first of many parks and green spaces planned for Waraba as the city continues to take shape.
